About a year ago, the Ffrash team was walking over the trash dumps in Jakarta in search of the right objects to be used as raw material for our designs. Ffrash was keen to develop high quality Dutch design products from Indonesian trash, while at the same time transferring practical knowledge to less fortunate kids, thus breaking the vicious cycle of poverty. Over the last 12 months, 7 young adults were trained to become furniture makers. They were taught how to turn trash into beautiful and functional products.
Together, we have produced our very first product line, which we will proudly debut at the Dutch Design Week. From Indonesia to the world!
